    On campus housing is available for undergraduate and ELAP students. There are three housing options:

    Marian Hall-Double Occupancy rooms, mainly a freshman and ELAP residence hall

    Tower Hall-Single Occupancy rooms

    Motherhouse-Apartment style dorms, mainly upperclassmen residence hall


    What Is Special?

    The University of St. Francis prides itself on academic quality as well as experiential learning. Our small class sizes boast an interactive class experience as well as a vibrant social setting. Campus lies in the beautiful, residential Cathedral Area of Joliet, Illinois which is approximately 35 miles from the major metropolitan city of Chicago.

    All incoming freshman students must take math and writing placement exams prior to registering for classes.


    All potential nursing students must receive a 68 or higher on the TEAS exam. Freshman students will take the TEAS early in their Freshman year. Transfer students must take the TEAS prior to enrolling in their first semester of courses at USF.

    The University of St. Francis is on rolling admission, therefore, there is no application deadline. It is recommended that students complete their application in full by April 1 for the Fall semester and November 1 for the Spring semester.
