Academic snapshot:
The minimum TOEFL score needed to take academic course work is 500 (paper-based)/61 (internet-based). Scores must be no more than two years old at the time of application. If you do not have a TOEFL score, you will need to take an ESL placement test upon your arrival to Parkland. The results of that test will determine if you are ready for academic courses, or if you will need to enroll in the English as a Second Language (ESL) program.
Information about our ESL programs can be found at:

For the Fall semester (beginning in August): July 1
For the Spring semester (beginning in January): December 1
For the Summer semester (beginning in June): May 1
A special message about deadlines for F-1 students applying outside the U.S.
It is very important that you allow enough time to acquire the F-1 visa at a U.S. consulate or embassy office. Although you may meet our deadline for admission, it is possible that this will not allow enough time to apply and interview for the visa.
