What Is Special?

Lake Forest College is a highly-selective 4-year college, located in the city of Lake Forest, llinois, just 48km north of Chicago.  Lake Forest is lovely suburb of Chicago and is one of the safest communities in Illinois. It is conveniently located about 46km from Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. 

The College offers an excellent education in a small setting. 


TOEFL scores and ESL Programs (English as a Second Language)

The minimum score required for the TOEFL is 550 on the paper based exam or 83 IbT exam.

We will also accept a minimum score of 6.5  on the IELTS exam.


The College does not offer ESL programs.

Freshmen applicants are required to submit SAT or ACT scores.

Fall Freshmen Deadlines:  December 1 for Early Action and Early Decision; February 15 for Regular Decision.

Transfer Deadline:  April 1 for students studying outside the US and July 1 for students studying in the US
